Let your photos sell for you
This is a true story. One of my clients is an incredible artist but her confidence was lacking -by the way, isn't that a theme within the creative world? Self doubt?
When she dropped into my studio with her artwork I was blown away. Every-single-piece was just WOW! I instantly saw the photos forming in my head. The colours, lines, angles. I was super excited. After a few days, I put together her online photo gallery, she logged in, and a few minutes later the phone rang. The conversation went something like this:
Client: Ana, Oh my God, these photos...
Me: Did you like them?
Client: Like them? I just cannot believe this is actually MY WORK! They look amazing.
Me: Well, your work IS pretty amazing!
Client: I love seeing it through your eyes though. I just want to share these photos NOW. Make posters, send them to magazines, get new cards, prints!
Me: They are going to look incredible on your website and social media is going to love them.
Client: I am so happy. I feel SO PROUD of my work and confident to sell it. Thank you!
And then it clicked! I realised that pride is a powerful motivator both for you and for your customers.
Feeling proud of what you do and what you are trying to sell is key.
Selling your products should make you feel happy and privileged!
